High Elves
The high elves of Avaelia differ culturally from most other regions of high elves found in Qualis. After having formed the Dragonfury kingdom, they left behind their deep connections to nature and sense of adventuring for a more stable lifestyle, favoring fixed homes built with wood and stone within city walls.
Phoenixborn (Elves)
The Phoenixborn are an offshoot of elves who were once high elves. Their goddess, Isahda Phoenixsong, was once a high elf herself before falling to a terrible fate that led to her being resurrected by the magic of phoenixes.
The transformation she endured is echoed in how she shaped the creation of her race, giving them dark skin in tones of red and brown with fiery red hair like the plumage of the birds who brought her back to life.
